Title: '65 Scout 80 turbo
Story: My dad had a 62 in 1963 that we played on the sand dunes on Lake MI. So I knew about them.My first one was a 68 800 V8 that I got for some Labor. It was a beater but ran. My second was the 65. I was visiting a friend in Colorodo Springs and happened to look in the paper and saw a ad for a 65 Scout Turbo $650. We went to look at it and fell in love. It was nice ,all stock and original. The guy took $550. I tow it to Cal. and on the way I had to use it get the rest of the way home when our van died 4.88 gears and all.
I worked on it alittle and sold it to a guy at work before he payed for it ,it melted a piston so I got it back. I put a 196 in it and sold it again. It spun a rod bearing on his way home. I got it back again.One of these days I'm going to fix it and keep it. I've had 7 since then . 4 right Know.
