Title: Hook, Line, and Sinker

Story:       I was in the Marine Corps for all of a year when I bought my first ScoutII. A sergeant in the unit was getting out of the Corps and was trying to sell it and a parts truck since he couldn't carry it with
him. I had a '95 Jeep Wrangler at the time, but I was really missing my old truck's V-8. I went to look at
it and decided most of the problems with it were lack of mechanical skills on his part and offered him
$1000 for them. He was informed a week later that he'd accept that offer.

All was well in my world. I messed around and put another $5500 into it and had a very capable four
wheeler. I was hooked. Every dime I made went into this new project. Taunt about a hunk of junk were
ignored and I trodded on. I sold the Jeep.

About six months ago, I did the unthinkable and put it into a tree while playing around offroad. I was heartbroken. After two years and a lot of money, I had mutilated my most prized posession. (Side note: If you absolutely must hit a tree running 50 mph, do it in a IH. All that was messed up was the radiator,
radiator support, grill, and passenger side fender. We crimped the radiator cores the fan had trashed and
drove it the 60 miles home!)

I am now on my second ScoutII (still have the first one) and am still in love with the things. Why,
oh why, did the have to go out of buisness?
