Date: Sun Jan 23 2000 Time: 21:31:58 Title: Farmall Fastback Story: My first IH was a 1967 1000B Travelall purchased used from original owner in 4/1972 with 40,000 miles. He sold it because it"nickled & dimed me". I couldn't believe that a vehicle that looked and ran that good could do that. He was right. Anyway it was equipped with V-345, 4-speed, trac-lok rear,Std. Steering, Power Brakes, Super Capacity Heater & Defroster, Custom Interior, Deluxe Exterior, Metallic Blue with White top. Since this was a pre-emission engine it would give 16MPG @ 60MPH and 14+MPG at 82MPH on 38- cent regular gas. Those 2WD Travelalls would go many 4WD places, especially if traction was the issue. Ground clearance was good for 2WD. Liked the car and traded it for Executive Travelall(1973) in 1974. Contributer: Earl Culley |
