Story: My love afair started in Alberta in 1990 , she was much older than I , but never the less it was love at first site.She was a 1949 IH short box in the mint condition that Alberta keeps her metal works in.I had decided to move back to ontario to turn myself in on a arrest warrant from years before. I had a commonlaw wife and a incredible newborn son. I drove my 1974 IH Binder P\U loaded to the max. with the 1949 in close and tight tow. I made the mistake of loading the 49 also to the max.I must now tell you that the wife and baby later flew to Toronto for I thought it not safe for them to travel with me and the Binders.I nearly lost my life in the steep hills of northern Ontario as the load in the towed vehicle was heavier than the tow truck.As luck would have it for this Irish lad , my soon to be EX wife sold the 49 on me while I was incarserated. This true story was in 1990 and as I speak I am paying off the present owner to get MY 49 truck back in my loving hands.A little note to all readers- in 1990 I paid $50 Canadian my EX sold the 49 for $600 Canadian and I am now almost done paying $2500 Canadian for my truck! Is it spite or love ? One little fact I purposely left out until now is that my little 49 aint so little.You see I mounted her on a 1978 Chev.3/4 ton 4x4. I have yet to mount the pics on a disc for you all to enJOY. They shall come to you soon.O ya I do need a windshield for the 49 so if anyone can help please contact me at ron_roach@hotmail.com .
