He parked it there after doing some work on it, and planned to rebuild the motor, but never did. So I bought it in June of 2000 for $300. It had sank up to the axle hubs over the years so it was a chore just to get it home. Finally I did though, I cleaned it for days, then started fixing things. It now has a black primered paint job (just for cover from the elements), 15x8 alum. ultra wheels, rear tires are 31x10.50 and 235/75's on the front, the interior is almost finished minus the seat. It has a weak 304 in it with a 4 speed man. trans. Future plans include installing my newly rebuilt 1972 345 engine, a real paint job, a pioneer stereo system, and many miles taking grandpa for rides in the old '66 binder! Also any tips on where to get new or good used parts would be much appreciated. |
